Homestay is a form of tourism and/or study abroad program that allows the visitor to rent a room from a local family to better learn the local lifestyle as well as improve their language ability... At our covering area, we found homestay been hosted by the PPSK FELCRA Berhad at Kampung Baru Salong... Hosting a homestay participant also allows the local family to earn some additional, needed income... Having low profitability, as it is, homestay can not be regarded as strictly commercial activity, but more of cross cultural exchange...



Homestay Kg Baru Salong is the restructured villages at Pahang, known as 'Projek Penyusunan Semula Kampung' (PPSK) on 1989... There were combination of the 11 tradition villages nearby such as Kg Sepaku, Kg Mambang, Kg Bukit Udang, Kg Gaung, Kg Peladang, Kg Sepagar, Kg Mempelas, Kg Sg Duri, Kg Salong, Kg Melayu dan Kg Sg Chini...

We were lucky because we had an opportunity to join the program Cuti-Cuti Malaysia... It was hosted at Tok Empat's house, we managed to gather information of Tarian Orang Asli, the food presentation and not to be forgotten - picture with Aishah Sinclair...
